Hail in 30126 (Mableton) on June 26, 2025
NOAA radar estimated hail up to 1.81 inches (golf ball size) in zip code 30126 (Mableton) on June 26, 2025, with about 29% of the zip at an inch or more. That ranks 1st of 2 hail days of three quarters of an inch or more in 30126 since October 2020.
What hail this size does to a roof
Golf ball size hail and larger breaks shingle mats, cracks tile and dents metal roofing, gutters and siding. Roofs in the core of a swath like this are often replaced. That was about 1.3 years ago. Policies set deadlines for reporting a loss and for lawsuits, so check yours before assuming an older storm can still be claimed. Damage from it can still matter when a newer storm hits.
